Day by day Itinerary

Day 02 : Meru National park

Enjoy your early morning breakfast, thereafter depart for Meru National Park by road (5Hrs  drive). Meru National Park is the ‘complete wilderness’ awaiting your memorable jungle visit.  Arrive in time for lunch at Ryllod Sunrise Lodge. Enjoy afternoon game drive at Meru  National Park. You are presented with a chance to see The Big Five that include African  elephant, lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, and rhinoceros in serene environment.  

Dinner and Overnight at Ryllod Sunrise Lodge. 

Day 03 : Game drive in the Mount Meru National Park

Enjoy a delicious morning breakfast at your hotel. Depart for a full day game drive at Meru  National Park, carry with you lunch boxes. The park is the unexploited wilderness that features  luxuriant jungle, coursing rivers (13 Rivers), verdant swamp, khaki grasslands and gaunt  termite cathedrals all under the sky’s great blue bowl.  

The park is little visited and utterly unspoilt, few places are comparable to the remote and  rugged atmosphere found here. Visitors can see Grevy’s zebras, Bohor reedbuck, Hartebeests,  Pythons, Puff Adders, Cobras, Buffalos and a rich biodiversity of birdlife (over 400 species).  In addition to the wildlife, other attractions include the once home of George and Joy  Adamson, Adamson’s Falls, the burial sites of Joy Adamson and Elsa the Lioness, views  of Mount Kenya, and the Tana River. Visit the local community (Ameru) to experience the  unique Meru culture.

Day 04 : Depart to Samburu

Enjoy nutritious breakfast at your hotel. Thereafter depart for Samburu by road arriving in time  for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon, enjoy game drive at the Buffalo Springs National Reserve,  you are presented with a chance to see special animal species in the north of Kenya that include:  Beisa Oryx, Lesser Kudu, Reticulated Giraffe, Gravy’s Zebra and the Gerenuk. Other animals  to see include giraffes, hyenas, buffalo, hippos, cheetahs and abundant Nile crocodiles which  can be seen in Ewiso Nyiro River among others. Dinner and Overnight at Ashnil Samburu  Camp/Sopa Lodge 

Day 05 : Game drive in The Samburu Park

After breakfast depart for half day game drive at Samburu National Reserve in search of the Samburu Five (Reticulated Giraffe, Gravy Zebra, Gerenuk, Oryx, Somali Ostrich, Elephants) among others. Lunch at your lodge/ camp. Afternoon game drive at Buffalo Springs Reserve for bird watching: Buffalo spring is a haven for birders with more than 450 bird species, that include: Abyssinian ground, Egyptian vulture, Black-Caped Social Weaver, Vulturine Guinea fowl, D’Anaurd’s, barbet, Black-faced Sand Grouse, Somali Ostrich among other bird species. Visit the local community (Samburu) to have insights into Samburu Culture.

Day 06 : Depart for Ol Pajeta Conservancy

Enjoy your morning breakfast and thereafter depart for Ol Pajeta Conservancy by road. Enjoy short game drive as you exit Samburu. Arrive in time for lunch. Embark on game viewing in the afternoon: you have a chance to see rhinos (Black Rhinos, Norther White Rhinos and Southern White Rhinos), chimpanzees at the (Sweetwaters Chimpanzees Sanctuary), lions cheetahs, elusive leopards, spotted hyenas, black-backed jackal, caracal, the bat-eared fox and a pack of wild dogs, hippo, Grevy’s zebra, threatened Jackson’s hartebeest. 

Other activities entail: cycling safari, dog tracking, gym in the wild, bush and bird walks, ride with rhinos, night game drive, and run the wild. (A service charge applies to the activities).

Day 07 : Game drive to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast at the lodge/camp, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park by road arriving in time for lunch at your lodge.  Enroute stopover at Equator Crossing Point. Enjoy an afternoon game drive; you will have a chance to see flamingos and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total, 56 different species of mammals including white rhinos, waterbuck, vintage view points (Lion hill, Baboon cliff and Out of Africa), Hills (Enasoit, Honeymoon, Lion hill) and Makalia Waterfall.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 08 : Game drive to Lake Naivasha

Enjoy morning breakfast and depart for Lake Naivasha with lunch boxes. Visit the Hell’s gate  for the out the world spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges,  stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one  of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. Enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing and a natural  spa. 

Depart for Maasai Mara in the afternoon and arrive in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at  Mara Sopa Lodge/ Mara Serena Lodge/ Mara Simba Lodge.

 

Day 09 : Game drive to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunches in search of Big Five (lion,  leopard, rhino, elephant and African buffalo) and other wildlife including the abundant birdlife  (500 species) including 47 species of birds of prey. Have memorable views at Mara River and  see crocodiles bask in the sun, hippos wallowing in the muddy water, and other wildlife in their  natural habitats and niches.  

Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/ Mara Serena Lodge/ Mara Simba Lodge.

 

Day 10: Masai Mara

Early morning game drive to see nocturnal animals (leopards, porcupines, civet cats, white tailed mongoose, aardvarks and cape hares) as they retreat to their hideouts, enjoy sumptuous  breakfast thereafter. Visit Maasai Village to experience the unique Maasai Culture. Lunch at  your lodge/ hotel. Enjoy afternoon game drive and have more chances of viewing the abundant  wildlife (Bat Eared Fox, Bushbaby, Bushbuck, Coke’s Hartebeest, Common Eland, Copper  Tailed Monkey/ Red Tailed Monkey, and Copper Tailed Monkey/ Red Tailed Monkey) in the  expansive Maasai mara reserve. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/ Mara Serena  Lodge/ Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 11: Amboseli

Breakfast at the lodge/camp. Depart for Amboseli by road arriving in time for lunch. Stopover  at Great Rift Valley View Point go have the magnificent view of the Great Rift Valley. Embark  on afternoon game drive to explore the wildlife and the beautiful Mt. Kilimanjaro picturesque (weather permitting). Amboseli National Park is known for its many herds of Elephants thus  christened “Home of the African Elephant”. You are presented with a chance to see many herds  of the African Elephant foraging and licking salt. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena  Lodge/ Ol Tukai Lodge/Kibo Camp 

 

Day 12:

Enjoy a delicious morning breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter depart for half day game drive at  Amboseli National Park with a chance to see big herds of African Elephants nurturing their  young ones and other wildlife including, Cheetah, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra and Lion. You are  also presented with a chance to see the prolific birdlife. Lunch at the lodge. Thereafter visit  Maasai Village to learn about Maasai community culture. Enjoy another game drive in the  evening. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge/ Ol Tukai Lodge/ Kibo Camp 

Day 13:

Enjoy nutritious early morning breakfast and thereafter depart for Nairobi. Relish morning  game drive as you exit the park. Arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch. Lunch at Carnivore  Restaurant. Shopping at the local supermarket and leave for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your international flight.
